ADAM AND SARAH DO OLD ORCHARD BEACH

adam and i left early saturday morning. destination? old orchard beach, maine to spend some quality time with his parents (i.e. so he could help his dad build a deck and i could lounge poolside)

i am PSYCHED.

adam is HUNGOVER

here is our luggage for ONE night in maine. 75% of it is mine.

and we're off! wollaston beach, down the street from our apartment.

doing nearly anything requires driving through boston.

there really is a light at the end of the tunnel.

i love the zakim bridge. when i was 18 years old i went to Lenny Zakim's birthday party. it was a good time.

love it, love it, love it.

are we there yet?

the scenery becomes more "maine-ish"

Bienvenido a Maine~

the effects of 2 hours of wind on a formerly fabulous coiffure

i get excited about this bridge too, because it means we're almost there!

aw yeah

mais oui, we are definitely in le Maine.

the woods surrounding adam's parents' place.

in case we couldn't tell...

a snoozin' racoon

this small pond is stocked with lots of fish for fishing!

where i will spend most of my time.

this is the saddest trash can i have ever seen. don't make the panda cry!

the men, hard at work

pretty waterfall!

their dog, the adorable mallory!

i love her!

i have a slight obsession with kitchy yard ornaments

lighthouse lamp

it was gorgeous out the whole weekend!

see?

Adam and I have been to Old Orchard Beach about 4 or 5 times. although this time we didn't, we normally hit the pier for some shopping and dining out in the sun.

there is also an AMAZING seaside carnival there year round called Palace Playland

so, in conclusion: Old Orchard Beach is alot of fun, the weather was gorgeous, Adam and I had a fantastic time, and i suck at resizing photos (i am working on it though!)
Comments:
Great idea for a blog! I love it! And that dog is just adorable.

I so love maine. My parents go to Ogunquit like 5x per year, but I may need to check out Old Orchard Beach, if only for the ferris wheel!!
